Leisa Holland-Nelson
Leisa Holland-Nelson is the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ASTOUNDZ, your One-search, One-click, One-company resource for all things Interactive including websites, SEO, PPC and Social Media. She is responsible for Marketing, Business Development, Client Relationship Management and HR. In her former role, she was the President, Co-founder and CMO of ContentActive, Houston’s leading Web, Custom Development and Mobile App Company. In 2017 she merged her ownership in ContentActive into ASTOUNDZ.

Business, Leadership and Marketing
Leisa’s leadership is in three of the most important aspects that a company can have; marketing, human resources and business development. This diversity allowed Leisa to create innovative strategies for her clients with new ideas on how they could attract more customers through their various channels like social media or an app. She was able to help build up teams within these departments as well by making sure every potential employee had different experiences from across industries which helped them grow into many other roles throughout the company while still retaining knowledge about what it takes to be successful at all levels of this organization.
Passionate about public service
Leisa has a history of public service that spans everything from the Board of AVDA Texas (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse) and The American Leadership Forum, as well as serving on boards such as at Goodwill Houston. However, what really set her apart is when she served twice in Chair position for Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce where it was revealed that Leisa had an incredible ability to not only lead meetings but also manage budgets with great care given how many people were involved in each project.
Leisa’s personal mission has always been to help others get what they want and she and ASTOUNDZ are proud of the fact that they are doing well by doing good in the community. This Fall she will Co-chair the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Power of Literacy Luncheon, serve as Honorary Co-chair for El Centro’s 14th Annual Making A Difference Luncheon, and as the Founding Honorary Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Inaugural Ticked Pink Luncheon.
Houston’s Fifty Most Influential Women
Leisa was honored to be named one of Houston’s Fifty Most Influential Women, a senior fellow of The American Leadership Forum, one of Mass Mutual’s Powerful Women in Business, a Celebrated Entrepreneur by Houston Technology Center, an ABC/Channel 13 Woman of Distinction, a 2017 Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Breakthrough Woman, and a 2019 Houston Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business”.
Leisa is also a fifth generation Houstonian, proud mother and mother-in-law of Laura and Ben Rose and grandmother to Selma Baines Rose and Violet Mae Rose. In February 2020 she married Bob Bowman. She attended the University of Texas.
